Teaser for chapter 3, which is over halfway done. Sneaky suspicion Meli and Jaz are up against something, well, big. Hope they’re both up to the task!

 I apologise for the long delay, as always. Very excited for this chapter! Feels like I’m starting to get the hang of inked shadows and shading. It’s something I’m trying to improve upon, trying ever so much to be like the ever amazing Mike Deodato Jr. (or close enough).

With luck, by this time next year, I should have at least 1/100th of the skill he possesses…..maybe.

Also, recently saw The Amazing Spider-man in theatres and I liked it! It hit the right notes, touched on elements of the original story well, and overall was a fun character driven story.

The lizard was a decent villian. He’s no Green Goblin (or Venom!), but he did his job. It would’ve been nice to develop more into his motivations (well, as much as a giant Lizard can have), but it was adequate

.It was also interesting seeing Gwen on the big screen. Like many people, I grew up in the 90′s where Mary Jane was, and had always been, the lovely lady friend of Peter. It was probably good then that I had no pre-conception of how Gwen should or shouldn’t act, so I quite enjoyed her character.

The Untold Story aspect of the film is curious but nothing really new. Parker’s parents disappeared when he was young. Cool, what else don’t we know. Through the story, we do get a sense there was a big reason they left, but nothing concrete as of yet. I get the impression (and have since confirmed it), that there will be more films to expand upon this and perhaps provide answers fans have been longing for since the first comic was released.

That, or just have more movies with Spidey beating up villains. Maybe with a better Venom? That’s all I want guys, really.

Is it worth seeing? I reckon so! It’s fun, its got heart, and has fun comedic moments. And if you’re a fan of Spider-man (which is more than likely), you won’t be disappointed.

Now, we just have to wait patiently for this new Spidey to appear in the next Avengers movie. Here’s hoping!
