Looks like Gruff is getting top-notch service…
Just wanted to let people know I’ll be attending the Crystal Mountain Pony Con 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah from July 17-18 as a guest! (that’s next weekend!!!)
I’ll be holding a panel on the Saturday about animation, so if you’re in the neighbourhood and want to learn about my crazy methods for making cartoons (or just want to say hello or visit an awesome con), come to CMPC!
Hallo! Just wanted to give yet another update to reassure that Chapter 7 is coming along nicely, and at a more regular place like I hoped.
Even more so because I finally scored myself a casual job! As a call centre phone guy!
It’s not quite the full-on professional animator role I was aiming for, but it’s a job! Which means I finally have some regular work, which also means I can stop spending so much time looking for work, and get back to what I want to do: draw MAiZ! (and animate stuff occasionally)
My plan is to have Chapter 7 done and dusted by the end of the month (July), give or take any issues that may arise (zombie apocalypse for instance). I’m also planning to rearrange some of the icons on the front page to see if I can give the comic more space to breath. So if the site looks weird over the next week, don’t panic, I’m just messing with stuff (but if it’s on fire, send help!)
Again, I’m so sorry it has taken so long, and thank you so much for being patient with me, especially people who’ve been checking back regularly. The fact there are people who want to see the next chapter of this story is wonderful, and I hope this chapter will be worth the wait.
Here’s a tease image of the latest page I finished today:
Okay! Back to work I go!
Yesterday I celebrated my 30th birthday!
There was much rejoicing!! (well actually, I more or less worked, though I did draw some more stuff for the blog!)
Not only that, I was lucky to get two pieces of fan art from awesome friends for my birthday!
A symbolic image to commemorate my triumph of being tax free! My tax of yesteryear has finally been sorted and no longer a big concern! (at least until next financial year, yaaaay).
It’s also symbolic of my need to keep working on MAiZ, despite all my work commitments and stresses. It’s been 7 months since the last chapter updated and I’m endeavouring as always to get it done, and make the next chapter worth the wait, especially now that my tax is done and dusted.
I apologise to everyone who’s been checking back regularly. I’ll try my best not to disappoint!
